Earlier fears that Captain John Obi Mikel will spend quite some weeks on the sidelines after undergoing a successful surgery in England has been dispelled by his Chinese club, Tianjin Teda.
In an official statement on the CSL club's official website, Mikel's injury and road to recovery was extensively touched and the club say they expect the former Chelsea ace back in training next week.

The club wrote: "In mid-March this year, the team went to Shanghai to train, in a teaching preparation activities before the Mikel injured, the club and the team attached great importance.
"For the sake of thorough investigation of the causes of injury, the club arranged for the first time to Beijing Chaoyang Hospital (diagnosed as: inguinal hernia); for the sake of prudence, April 24, the club decided to send Mikel to the British diagnosis and treatment; 26 days by the doctor Diagnosed as inguinal hernia and abductor muscle injury, and in the April 29 successful completion of these two operations.
"It is expected that a week after surgery he can begin to resume training." the statement stated
The club thanked every body for their care and support for Mikel adding that they are keen to have him back in action.
Meanwhile, the news from China should be heartwarming for Super Eagles coach Genort Rohr whose team has been hit with all sort of injuries in the build up to the AFCON qualifiers next month against South Africa.
